Fuck Being Realistic

2/2/21

What is the least realistic thing you could do?

When I was being “realistic” I ended up with intense anxiety. When I was being realistic I felt completely isolated. When I was being realistic I found myself in a dying industry, with no job offer, low productivity, and no confidence.

Then I said “fuck it”. Now I absolutely LOVE my life. I have an amazing relationship with a girl I love. I’m obsessively passionate about the work I do. I have more than enough money to sustain me and a rapidly growing income, and I’m making a real difference in people’s lives.

What’s possible if you throw “being realistic” out of the window?

The Magic Ingredient

2/1/21

Authenticity is the magic ingredient to a fulfilling life. When we are willing to share what’s behind the mask and have the challenging conversations, not just with others but with ourselves, endless possibilities open up.

It’s about saying what’s there to be said. It’s about not withholding communication. A commitment to authenticity creates bold leadership. It is so simple, yet so confronting.

Much of our culture has become one of masks and fronts. Social Media has amplified the game of saying not what’s true, but what will be liked.

Here is an invitation for you to step outside of the herd and into the magnetic force of who you truly are.

Attention

1/31/21

Attention is our most valuable resource. The most powerful companies are investing billions to grab your attention.

If your mind is a garden, your attention is the sunlight. The plants that get sunlight grow. The more attention you give to advertisements, the more your belief that you need their product grows.

Mastering the art of intentionally directed attention is the most valuable skill in today's world. Practice this art everyday. Pick one thing to focus on; a book, your breath, an activity, and notice how quickly you get distracted. Bring your attention back to the intended object. With time you will improve.

This is power. This is freedom.
